The Sand Dollar Lounge, a longtime icon of live music and craft cocktails, will open a second location within the Plaza Hotel and Casino this fall, offering a venue dedicated to late-night live music and entertainment in downtown Las Vegas.
In 1976, the Sanddollar Blues Bar opened, almost immediately becoming one of Las Vegas' most iconic bars. Some of the greatest blues legends, as well as many other famous musicians, have graced the stage for more than three decades. People like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, and even Mick Jagger jumped into the sanddollar while in Las Vegas. In 2007, the Sanddollar Blues Bar closed, but it revived in 2009 when the Sanddollar Lounge opened on Spring Mountain Road, a celebration of the iconic Vegas venue' tradition and history. In 2015, the Sanddollar Lounge was acquired by current owners Nathan Grates and Anthony Jamieson, with the goal of regaining and building its original light.
Now the iconic venue will open The Sand Dollar Downtown, a second location at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, a similar iconic Vegas destination. It is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, dating back to the Rat Pack era.
Sand Dollar Downtown will be in a nearly 5,000-square-foot space adjacent to Plaza's casino floor. Plaza plans to offer a full menu of handmade cocktails made by Pop Up Pizza. Live music from both local and other major performers will take the stage on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening.
"The Plaza is known for its vintage Vegas characteristics and is proud to partner with legendary Vegas venues like Sand Dollar," said Jonathan Josel, CEO of Plaza Hotels & Casino. "The Plaza's Sand Dollar opening will create a late-night destination for live music unlike anywhere else in downtown Las Vegas."
"We are excited to expand The Sand Dollar heritage to downtown Las Vegas with The Plaza," said co-owner Anthony Jamison.
"SandDollar Downtown will focus on recreating the classic era of electric blues and rock 'n' roll in downtown corridors," added Nathan Grates. 파워볼사이트 추천
